To increase operating safety, the VOLK Diesel Platform Truck DFW 4 can be optionally equipped with
a yellow flashing beacon. In vehicles with a driver’s cab the beacon is mounted in a clearly visible position on the front side of the cabin roof. In vehicles without a driver’s cab the flash-
ing beacon is attached to an
approximately one meter high pole and is thus clearly visible from all sides. The flashing beacon can be turned on and off by the driver with a switch on the vehicle’s dash board. Alternatively, it can also be started automatically by
interlinking it with the vehicle’s ignition respectively with the forward/backward switch.
