To enable the easy loading and unloading of heavy goods even without a loading ramp or fork lift,
the VOLK Diesel Platform Truck DFW 5 can be optionally equipped with a crane. Here VOLK works closely together with such renowned crane manufacturers as Palfinger and Atlas. Depending on the customer's requirements, the crane
can be mounted on the front or the rear of the vehicle. To achieve maximum stability with especially heavy loads,
the crane can be additionally equipped with pull-out supports.
The crane is activated and deactivated by
means of a toggle switch in the driver's cab. When the switch is turned on, the direction control switch is automatically locked. This safety mechanism prevents the vehicle from moving during crane operation. The crane is operated by
means of a control device on the crane jib.
A combination is of course also possible with various oth-
er attachment options, such as a load-through platform.
