During
continuous multishift operation there is often no time to connect industrial trucks to chargers to load the traction batteries. Under these conditions it is important that the batteries can be replaced with newly loaded batteries as
simply and easily as possible.
For this purpose the battery hood of the VOLK Electric Tow Tractor EFZ 40 N can be opened at a 90 degree angle and locked with a pneumatic spring. The battery can be inserted without difficulty with
the aid of the guide bars mounted in the battery compartment.
