The
VOLK Hybrid Tow Tractor HFZ 30 N is serially fitted with inching controls with automatically engaged and disengaged brakes. This system is activated and deactivated with a switch in the driver’s cabin. When activated, it is
possible to carefully shunt the vehicle for- and backwards during the hitching process by means of two forward/backward buttons mounted at the rear side of the vehicle in an easily accessible waist high position (max. driving range set
to 30 cm by default for security reasons). If the inching buttons are released the vehicle’s parking brake is automatically engaged, thus stopping the vehicle. In an emergency situation the vehicle can also be stopped immediately
by a red mushroom-type emergency stop button.
