The VOLK Hybrid Tow Tractor HFZ 30 NT is serially equipped with a automatic trailer coupling (Rockinger 244 D). A special towing-fork safety catch mount- ed beneath the coupling reduces the risk of the towing-fork slipping sideways
during
hitching considerably. Safety hazards for workers involved in the hitching process can thus be avoided. Since this device, for which VOLK has filed a patent, is both simple and effective, it was awarded at the Steel Innovation Price
2003.
