Successful trade show presentation at the Inter Airport

Munich, 12.10.2009 – Inter Airport Europe, the leading international exhibition for airport equipment and com-
plementary services, took place in Munich from October
6-9, 2009.

Although the after-effects of the economic crisis are still obvious everywhere, the timing of this exhibition could not have been better. Despite the considerable slumps in global freight and passenger volumes, traffic develop-
ment will only temporarily lag behind the long-term growth trajectories.

While presently operational necessities still require ad-
justing the equipment pools to match the reduced trans-
port volumes, it is already necessary from a strategic point of view to prepare for the approaching recovery in order to optimally benefit from the from the economic upswing.

The Inter Airport is certainly an ideal forum to get an

overview of current trends and relevant developments in this contradictory situation. No other exhibition in the world attracts a greater range of industry specialists. Thus it goes without saying that VOLK presented its products again at this event.




	Caricaturist “Di Vino” – With a nimble hand and a fine sense of irony
	he painted portraits of our visitors

VOLK Managing Directors Lutz and Dr. Matthias Baur travelled to the exhibition with seven other staff members to talk and exchange know-how with the many exhibition visitors. VOLK presented a representative sample of its extensive product range at an over 200 square meter booth in the outdoor exhibition area.

A special highlight at the VOLK booth was the newly developed Hybrid Tow Tractor HFZ 40 N, which has launched VOLK into a totally new performance class. With a tremendous drawbar pull of up to 26.000 N, the tow tractor is optimally equipped for the most demanding requirements. The two hybrid tractor models HFZ 30 N and HFZ 20 N, which are already in operation at many handling companies and airports, also attracted wide interest among the visitors. With this exceptional hybrid fleet VOLK demonstrates its technological competence in this product segment once again.

Another highlight at the VOLK booth was the caricaturist “Di Vino”, who painted portraits of visitors with a nimble hand and a fine sense of irony. Thanks to his concentration on the basics and use of friendly exaggeration, his portraits bore a remarkable resemblance to the portrayed persons. In this manner, more than 300 little works of art were created during the four-day trade show.

The weather this year was mostly warm and sunny even if an occasional shower reminded us that summer is already over. However, we were optimally prepared for this too: Our very spaciously designed exhibition pavilion provided not only protection from unsettled weather but also a very pleasant and cozy atmosphere for conversa-
tions amid the hustle and bustle of the exhibition.

All in all we look back on a completely successful trade show presentation and look forward to seeing everyone again at Inter Airport Europe 2011.
